Greenfield Hancock County Animal Control is a city and county funded facility that is dedicated to public safety and animal welfare.
We are committed to enforcing city and county ordinances and state laws pertaining to the animal population of our community. In addition to our Animal Control duties we strive to maintain a clean, people and animal friendly shelter. We also make every effort to reunite lost pets with their owners and to unite adoptable pets with new families.
Our staff is always willing to provide educational information to the public.
As the colder months are approaching please be sure to provide proper care for your pets!! Here are some tips for cold weather care:
* Keep pets out of the weather as much as possible.
* DO NOT use blankets, towels or other linens to insulate doghouses. These items will get wet, freeze and cause more harm than good.
* Inuslate doghouses with straw or cedarchips.
* Keep fresh, potable water available for your pet.
